Kyaikhtiyo ( Golden Rock ) Extension ( 2 Days / 1 Nights )

The magnificent's " Golden Rock" at kyaiktiyo is the most incredably meditative and popular tourist attaraction in Mon State. Devotees will normally male the full 13 km climb on foot from the base camp. However, nowadays, it is possible to take trucks up to the next camp, from where it takes only about 45 minutes to walk up.

Day 01 Yangon – Kyaikhtiyo ( Golden Rock )
Early morning, drive to Kyaikhtiyo via Bago. From Bago, drive through the paddy
paddy fields to the small town of Kyaikto. Before ariving to Kyaikto, stop to visit the fisherman village at Waw. Then proceed to KYAIKTO and on to the base camp of KIMPUN. Transfer to take truck up to the next camp, from where it takes only about 45 minutes to walk up. A spectacular view awaits at the top,especially at sunrise and sunset. On a clear day you can see the Adaman Sea glisting in the distance far below the mountains. Overnight at Kyaiktiyo.

Day 02 Kyaikhtiyo – Bago – Yangon
Early morning, climb down and drive back to the base camp to your car/ bus. After that, drive to Bago, the Ancient Capital of Mon Kingdom in the 15th century, about 90 km from KYAIKTO. Upon arrival to Bago, visit Shwe Tha Lyaung Reclinging Bouddha ( 55 metres long ), Shwe Maw Daw Pagoda, Kalyani Sima ( Ordination Hall ), 28 metre high huge Bouddha Image of Kyaikpun Pagoda and the pottery on the way back to Yangon.
